This week Claire took her first trip to Portland to visit Matt, Amanda and baby Brody. Brody is just a week older than Claire, and it was so cute to see them together. I will post some photos of them soon. Claire did really well on the drive down and back. We had to stop along the way to feed her, but that was just fine. I am so glad that I am breastfeeding! It is actually really convenient. I love that I always have milk ready for my baby.
The whole Portland trip got us off schedule and we had a couple of tired nights. But on the whole Claire is sleeping pretty well for me. I usually only get up once a night to feed her. Today I put her down for her first real nap all alone in her room! She is actually still sleeping away as I type this, and I can see her on our cool iPad monitor. I think this will be a big step towards getting something of a schedule to our lives. I knew it was time when Claire was sleeping next to me in her seat today and I suddenly sneezed. My sneeze startled her and sent her into a crying fit! It was so sad. Time for Claire to nap peacefully in her own room!
Claire continues to be the cutest baby ever and Eric and I adore her. She smiles a lot, and even likes her bath time. I love buying her cute clothes and changing her outfit ten times a day whenever she spits up.
